STORY BEHIND THE COLLABORATION
"Engram is not just a fragrance, it is a memory trace. Partnering with Joana Nobre felt natural, because her way of working with scent speaks the same language as ours: emotion first, technique in service of feeling. This collaboration honours craftsmanship and the invisible architecture of memory, as Joana translates emotion into formula and captures something deeply intimate and timeless.
Engram is the kind of fragrance that does not ask for attention, but earns it. This partnership is rooted in a shared belief that perfume is not decoration, but emotion, culture and memory made visible through scent. Working with Joana Nobre reminds us that true luxury is not excess, but intention, and Engram is composed with precision, restraint and soul."

My Words
BY JOANA NOBRE
"My days begin early with a walk alongside my dog, watching the city wake. In those first quiet moments, the soft light, the silence, I find clarity. I enjoy an unhurried breakfast and the mental space before the world demands attention. I have a passion for pens and fine stationery (Smythson, especially), which turn writing into a ritual. I write and read constantly; The New Yorker is my favorite companion."
"I photograph with my Fuji and Leica, mostly in black and white. Without color, structure, light, and texture take precedence; it’s a meditative exercise in seeing essentials. I love tea and its rituals, selecting, infusing, pausing, especially Lapsang Souchong (TWG) and Chai (Kusmi). Art is central to me: I admire painting (John Singer Sargent in particular), but sculpture moves me most for its presence and form. I travel to deepen familiarity, not chase novelty. New York is my favorite city, one I revisit often to walk, eat well, and rediscover its layers."
"My music tastes are eclectic, though I feel most at home in Jazz and Nu Jazz, from Chet Baker and Bill Evans to Jordan Rakei and Alfa Mist. I’m drawn to the sophistication of improvisation, the ever-changing dialogue between instruments. I dress with the same philosophy: simple, but of the highest quality, cashmere sweaters, loafers, distinctive watches and jewelry that carry history. I am detail-oriented and value the quality of objects, experiences, and time."
