The Grand Medallion Candle
At the top of every candle rests a hand-poured wax medallion, uniquely designed in one of six motifs, each inspired by the intricate architectural details of the Palácio de São Bento, one of Lisbon’s most iconic neoclassical landmarks.
These motifs, taken from stone carvings, ironwork, and ornamental fragments of the palace, serve as miniature sculptures: As the candle burns, the medallion slowly softens, releasing its design into the flame, a symbolic gesture of history dissolving into scent, of past and present blending into atmosphere.
Each fragrance in the collection offers a different journey, yet all share the same spirit:
a bridge between Portuguese heritage and contemporary olfactory artistry. With three wicks, the 900g Candle is ideal for spacious rooms. Each candle is meticulously crafted at our Villa Dona Belida Atelier in Santarém, where every candle is hand-poured using time-honoured candle-making techniques.
